This episode centers on black college students who take a leadership role in the civil rights movement as lunch counter sit-ins spread across the South. It also tells the story of “Freedom Riders” who encounter challenges as they strive to desegregate interstate buses. The movie shows how the civil rights movement used non-violence as a tool to dismantle institutionalized segregation, discrimination, and inequality. It also gives us the opportunity to learn from legendary civil rights activists like the late John Lewis, Martin Luther King, Jr., and many others. Space is limited.
